This week, in Health, we have been learning about our teeth. We have been learning about the different kinds of teeth that we have, what these different types of teeth are used for, the parts of a tooth, how to appropriately brush our teeth, how to appropropriately floss our teeth, and how important it is to eat healthy foods!
On Tuesday, we completed a very fun activity. After learning about the different types of teeth that we have in our mouths, we made a model of our teeth using yummy goodies.
We were so happy to have Mrs. Sheppard (the Speech paraprofessional) to come in and help us with this activity!
For the molars (the back teeth that we use for chewing food) we used marshmellows!
For our canines (the teeth that we use for tearing food), we used white chocolate chips! We learned that our incisors (our sharp teeth in the front) are used for biting food. We used white pipe cleaners to represent these teeth! We had a great time with this activity and learned so much about our teeth!
