Special Olympics Opening Ceremony!

After our Special Olympics parade, we all gathered at Sharp Stadium for our Opening Ceremony!

It makes Ms. Malcom's and Mrs. Stowe's hearts happy every year to see the students that we have previously had in our classes!

We were so happy to see Tyrisha! She was happy to see us too and gave Ms. Malcom a huge kiss on the cheek!

Ms. Malcom and Mrs. Stowe had the triplets (Avia, Kyla, and Tamya) in their class during Ms. Malcom's first year teaching. They are now in HIGH SCHOOL! :-/ These girls are so much fun!

Tony and Santoes pose for a picture!

Hugs from two of Ms. Malcom's favorite girls!

Tradarius, on the left, is another one of Ms. Malcom's and Mrs. Stowe's previous students! We sooooo love and miss this kid! He is all grown up now!

Dr. Matthews (our Superintendent) spoke at our Opening Ceremony!

Mrs. Dew, who has led Special Olympics for years, is retiring this year! She will be greatly missed! Thank you Mrs. Dew for all that you have done for our students!

Mrs. Dubois (our Principal) made it by to participate in Opening Ceremonies with us!

Oh sweet Eric, another one of Ms. Malcom's and Mrs. Stowe's previous students! This boy will always be one of Ms. Malcom's "Teacher's Pets". :-) I must mention that we saw Lexi too! Love that girl! We didn't get a picture of her though!

Mrs. Dubois gives our students a "pep-talk". Thanks for stopping by Mrs. Dubois. We always appreciate your support!

We always look forward to seeing Mr. Will at Special Olympics! He is a special friend to our class!

It was a special day for many reasons! Not only did we get to see many old friends, but we got to spend the day together celebrating what makes us special!

:-)
