March 2nd was "Read Across America" day! On this day, we celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday.
DeAsia was the "Class STARfish" last week. So, we decorated her picture for the occasion! :-)
In celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday, we had cupcakes! Yum! Yum!
We also dressed in Dr. Seuss "attire"! Ha! Ha!
After reading "The Cat in the Hat", Ms. Malcom had a very special presentation! Ms. Malcom awarded the "Top Reader". Tony has made tremendous progress in his reading skills this year! Way to go TONY!!!! We are sooooooo proud of you!
We loved learning about Dr. Seuss! He was a wonderful author and wrote many beautiful books! We have many of his books in our class collection and read several on "Read Across America" day! Each student was also given the opportunity to choose their favorite Dr. Seuss book and take it home to read with their family! They were quite excited to do this!
