For the past couple of weeks, we have been studying Celebrations Around the World in Social Studies! This has been a very fun unit. We learned about the different celebrations that occur around the world. We learned about Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Los Posadas (Feliz Navidad), and Christmas! We also made various crafts to represent the things that we learned for each celebration. We displayed our work on a beautiful display (created by Ms. Higdon) in the hallway outside of our classroom! We made Menorahs and Stars of David for Hanukkah, Kenorahs and Ears of Corn for Kwanzaa, Poinsettias for Los Posadas, and various ornaments, etc. for Christmas! We had a great time and learned so much in the process!
