Making Paper!

In class, we have been learning about recycling! Ms. Malcom found a cool paper making machine and we got to try it out! First, we took old newspapers, ripped them up, and soaked them overnight!

The next day, the paper was all wet and soft! It was fun to play with and squish!

Next, we put the soaked newspaper into the paper making machine, added a little glitter, and turned the wheel until it turned into a soupy mixture!

We used a mold to shape the soaked paper into a heart. Then, we squished the mold to drain the water!

Our finished product was a heart-shaped piece of paper. Once they dried, we painted them and made Valentines! What a great way to recycle our old newspapers!

Oh Santoes!! So cute!
