CBI Trip to Home Depot and Just Dogs!

For our CBI trip in March, we went to Home Depot and Just Dogs. We had so much fun. At Home Depot, we got to go into the "make it" room. We got aprons, pins, and all the materials needed to make race cars!

The sweet Home Depot employee, I forgot her name, assisted us with making our race cars. She was very helpful and patient.

Making race cars was a serious thing. All of our students LOVED this activity and were so wonderful at it!

That's the face of a hard worker!

When we left Home Depot, we went to Just Dogs for lunch. Yum!

Green Eggs and Ham!

Learning about Dr. Seuss was so much fun! We read lots of his stories and even got to make green eggs and ham.

Green eggs and ham were fun to make. They were also very yummy!

Hats Off to Dr. Seuss!

This week we are celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday and his contributions to children's literature. On Wedesday our theme was "Hats Off to Dr. Seuss". We made hats and read The Cat in the Hat.

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a wonderful time celebrating Valentine's Day. We invited a few of our friends and hosted a fun party. Ms. Jerri and Spike came. We also had our friends from Ms. Roberts' class come to enjoy this time with us.

Ms. Malcom and Mrs. Stowe brought some "dress up" clothes. It was so much fun dressing up for our party!

Mr. John bought us balloons to decorate the classroom with. We loved them!
We had some yummy party foods!
Mrs. Stowe brought her accordion and we taught our friends the ballroom dance that we learned. The boys presented flowers for the girls. That was very sweet!
Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

CBI Trip to Stevi B's!

In January, we went on a CBI trip to Stevi B's Pizza. We had such a wonderful time on this trip and the Stevi B's staff was so nice and accommodating.

One of the workers there talked to us about how the pizza dough is made, etc. She even let us feel some and use some of the fun tools that they use to make pizza!

Then, we went on a tour. They showed us how they make the pizzas and told us lots of interesting facts!
We even got to walk into the cooler. It was cold!
Time to eat!
Of course we had to play games afterwards. That was lots of fun!
It was a great day!

Happy New Year!

When we came back to school, after the Winter holiday, we learned about New Years. We learned why people celebrate the New Year, how people ring in the New Year, and New Year's traditions.
We talked about how people usually kiss the ones they love. Eliana gave her brother a New Year's kiss! Enoch looks thrilled! Ha! Ha!

We talked about how people use fireworks and noisemakers to ring in the New Year! Ms. Malcom played a video of the fireworks that she saw on Tybee Island. Then, everyone got their own noisemaker. We made lots of noise!

Ms. Malcom and Mrs. Stowe serenaded the class with "Aude Lang Syne"! :-)
Then, we worked on making our own New Year's Resolutions. All of our students did such a wonderful job with this activity!
Below, are some of the "people" that we made to display our New Year's Resolutions in the hallway! Too cute!
Happy New Year!!!
