Charmed and 3 Very Special Visitors!

Last week, we had three very special visitors. Mrs. Stowe's sisters, Lee and Jerri, came by to visit us. Ms. Jerri lives in Madison, GA and Ms. Lee lives all the way in Connecticut. We were so happy to have them. They were so sweet and brought us lots of new prizes for our prize box!

Tanayry wasted no time welcoming our visitors. Ha! Ha!

Ms. Jerri volunteers to assist and take care of rescue dogs. She brought a very special rescue dog, named Charm, with her.

We all got to pet charm while Ms. Jerri talked to us about Charm's life as well as dog care.
I would say that Ms. Lee traveled all the way from Connecticut to see Santoes. Ha! Ha! She and Santoes are special friends! :-)
... and more visiting with Charm!

Before Ms. Jerri and Ms. Lee left, we all played a game of UNO with them!
Even Charm got to play! :-)
Thank you so much Ms. Lee and Ms. Jerri for visiting with us and for the fun prize box prizes. We also loved meeting Charm and hope that she finds a great, forever home! See you soon!

Playground Fun!

Last week, I took the camera to the playground with us and took some great pictures of our cute kiddos!

Aren't they precious? :-)

UNO!

Every Friday, for Fun Fantastic Friday, we play UNO. It was a class favorite last year and it looks like our new friends like it just as much. They did great for their first time!

I guess you can tell who won! :-)

Happy Birthday Eliana!

Last week, we celebrated a very special birthday! Happy Birthday Eliana!

Eliana opening her card from Mrs. Stowe and I! Eliana's classmates also made her special cards during their morning journal time!

Opening her present!
Eliana loves to color. This present was perfect!
Eliana's daddy brought cupcakes. Thanks Mr. Edwards!
Santoes enjoying his cupcake!
Enoch enjoying his cupcake!
Eliana, we hope you had a GREAT birthday!

Old Friends and New Friends!

The pictures below are my favorite kind to post. I love friendship pictures.
Mrs. Stowe is great friend for sharing her musical talent with us each day! We enjoy singing the songs that she has written as well as the ones that she plays on the guitar!

I am so happy to have my old friend, Enoch, back!

Draylan and Tony!
Santoes and Jeremy!
D'Andre and I!
Friendship is very important in our class. We begin developing friendships on the very first day. I strongly believe that when a students has great friends in our class, they feel much more comfortable. If they feel comfortable in class, they are in a much better position to learn!

Computer Lab!

One of our class' favorite activity is to go to the computer lab! In the computer lab, our students can practice the skills that we are learning in class as well as play several educational games. Below are a few pictures from our first trip to the computer lab!

Working Hard!

We have been working so hard in our vocabulary books and learning new vocabulary words. Tony (the smart boy that he is) learned to copy his vocabulary words, from the vocabulary chart, in to his vocabulary journal. Way to go Tony!

We have also been working very hard on our handwriting. Jeremy and Eliana do a great job on their journals every morning!
This is D'Andre's favorite puzzle! He can put it together faster than Ms. Malcom! Good job D'Andre!
Enoch and Santoes work with Mrs. Stowe every morning on handwriting. They have been doing so good!
Good work everyone! Keep it up!

High Fliers!

In our classroom we have a "High Flier" chart. Each time the students are "caught doing something good" they are given a picture of a flying object to post on their chart. We have had lots of flying objects placed on our charts since the first day of school. We are so proud of all of our students!

Introducing Our Friends!

We have an awesome class this year. We have five of our old friends back and we gained four new ones! Each one of them add something very special to our class. Great friendships have already formed!

A New School Year!

The new school year is always a very exciting time for Mrs. Stowe and I. Although we greatly miss our "babies" from last year, we are always excited to meet new friends. The beginning of this school year has been great already. Our students learned the expectations and rules very early. They also came in ready to SHINE! Shine is what they have done with their hard work and determination to learn. We are so proud of them and can't wait to see what this year has in store for each and every one of them.
If you are new to our blog, WELCOME! I try to updated it at least once a week so check back to see what we are up to! Enjoy!
