Caribbean Dream!

Last week, we read a story called Caribbean Dream. It was a cute story about a few children that live in the Caribbean. We learned how their lives are similar and different to our own. We also learned a new vocabulary word. We learned that an island is a body of land that is completely surrounded by water. We even made our own islands (see the pictures below)!

The display, outside of our classroom, is so beautiful.

Playground Time with Friends!

After planting our peanuts, we decided to go to the playground to spend some fun times with our friends!

Wow Eliana, you sure are high! This is Eliana's new thing! She climbs way up and then rides the cork screw down!

Joyria and Lucy!

Enoch chasing Tony!
Hey Enoch!

DeAsia loves to swing!

Tony loved swinging with DeAsia!

Lucy can hang onto this thing forever!

Fun! Fun!

Fun Fantastic Friday- Planting Peanuts (Part 3)!

While we were waiting for Mrs. Higdon to get some water for the watering can, we enjoyed sitting outside in the nice weather! Tony enjoyed a photo shoot with his teachers! Ha! Ha!

When Mrs. Higdon got back, Mrs. Stowe showed us how to water our garden!

Then, we all took a turn!

A group shot with our peanut garden!

We loved it and can't wait to watch them grow!

Our signs around our garden! :-)

We had a blast and learned so much on this Fun Fantastic Friday!

Fun Fantastic Friday- Planting Peanuts (Part 2)!

After we dug up the ground to prepare it for planting, it was time to do some actual planting. First, we needed to put potting soil in all of the holes that Mr. John dug for us!

Joyria and DeAsia, Friends Forever!

La'Shawn was our supervisor! His job was to make sure we were all working! :-)

A beautiful smile from Enoch!

Time for planting our peanut plants!

Fun times and definitely planted with love!

Fun Fantastic Friday- Planting Peanuts (Part 1)!

We were so excited to get outside and plant our garden!

Mr. John (Mrs. Stowe's husband) came by to lead our activity! He brought lots of fun and interesting tools!

Mr. John showed us how to break up the ground to get it ready for planting!

Then, we all took our turn!

La'Shawn posed with one of our signs!

Then, we did some more digging!

Digging the ground was a lot of work! But.. we all worked together and got it done!
