Playground Fun!

The weather has been so nice lately! On Friday, we got a chance to go to the playground at our school! We had a blast!

DeAsia LOVES the swings!

Eliana was so determined to climb to the top of the jungle gym so that she could slide down the cork screw! With a little help from Ms. Malcom and Mrs. Stowe, she was able to do it!

While waiting for our bus to pick us up for bowling on Friday, we decided to have some fun with the Fall decorations at our school!

Picnic and Pumpkin Carving at the Park!

After playing for a little while, we decided to go ahead and have our picnic!

We also had some yummy pumpkin sugar cookies!

After our picnic it was pumpkin-carving time! Its a tradition for Mrs. Higdon to carve our pumpkin. She always does such a great job! Lucy chose a scary face for our pumpkin!

The boys were quite intrigued with the pumpkin carving! :-)

CBI Trip to the Park!

Today, we went on a CBI trip to Denny Dobbs park! We were so excited!

I love the picture of La'Shawn below! Too cute!

We couldn't wait to get to the playground. I said "Go Ahead" and the boys took off!

Mrs. Kelli (Ms. Malcom's sister) and Baby Blair (Ms. Malcom's niece) met us at the park! Blair was ready to play!

Ms. Malcom was quite happy to see Blair! This visit made the day even more special!

As you can see, we had so much fun! The best thing was that we had the whole entire park to ourselves. We were the only ones there! Fun! Fun!

TV Star!

One of our own, Joyria, was featured on Fox 5 Atlanta's "Wednesday's Child" last week! Joyria is a beautiful child and a wonderful student! We wish her the best!

Learning About Native Americans!

For a few weeks, before the Fall Break, we learned about North American Native American tribes as well as the ways in which they used their environments to obtain food, clothing, and shelter! We had a great time and learned so much! On Friday, we decided to get together with a few of our friends from Mrs. Carter's 4th grade class and try some of these things out on our own!

Enoch's group was responsible for making a teepee!

Lucy's group was responsible for making beaded clothing!

La'Shawn's group was responsible for making representations of some of the foods that the Native Americans ate!
