Special Olympics Parade!

We were so excited to participate in our annual Special Olympics parade today! We grabbed our beautiful stars and banner that we made, and headed to Sharp field to load our truck!

Our friends from Dr. Morrison's class got to go too!

Fun Fantastic Friday- Preparing for our Parade!

For Fun Fantastic Friday last week, we made stars to hold on Monday at our Special Olympics parade! We worked hard and had a great time making them!

Easter Egg Hunt!

After lunch, we went out for our egg hunt! It was a beautiful day!

We shared our egg hunt with the Special Needs Pre-K class! However, we hunted in a different area!

Thanks to all who donated candy or eggs. I don't know who donated what because the students took them out of their bookbags before I could see! However, we appreciate all who supported us!

Very Special Visitor and Fun Fantastic Friday Easter Buckets!

On Good Friday, which was also Fun Fantastic Friday, we had a very special visitor. Ms. Hannah, who is a college student in Valdosta as well as Mrs. Dubois' (our Principal's) daughter, came to spend the day with us. Ms. Hannah is thinking about becoming a special education teacher "when she grows up". :-)

Since we were going to have a surprise Easter egg hunt later in the day (we didn't tell the kids about it until that day), we made Easter buckets for Fun Fantastic Friday!

We had a great time with our special visitor! Ms. Hannah, we look forward to you coming back again. We hope we made a good impression! I must say, there is no better/ more rewarding job in the world! :-)

Following in Tony's Footsteps!

We have another writer on our hands! Writing the date in the morning has become the thing that EVERYONE wants to do. On this day, Jameer decided to try writing the date! I must say, he did an AMAZING job! And... this is with VERY little help! I have to add that Jameer came into our classroom in October not knowing how to write a single letter. Now, his handwriting is so beautiful!

Way to go Jameer! We are soooooo proud of you! Keep up the great work!
