Happy New Year!

When we came back to school, after the Winter holiday, we learned about New Years. We learned why people celebrate the New Year, how people ring in the New Year, and New Year's traditions.
We talked about how people usually kiss the ones they love. Eliana gave her brother a New Year's kiss! Enoch looks thrilled! Ha! Ha!

We talked about how people use fireworks and noisemakers to ring in the New Year! Ms. Malcom played a video of the fireworks that she saw on Tybee Island. Then, everyone got their own noisemaker. We made lots of noise!

Ms. Malcom and Mrs. Stowe serenaded the class with "Aude Lang Syne"! :-)
Then, we worked on making our own New Year's Resolutions. All of our students did such a wonderful job with this activity!
Below, are some of the "people" that we made to display our New Year's Resolutions in the hallway! Too cute!
Happy New Year!!!
