Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving from the little "turkeys" in Ms. Malcom's class!
We hope that you have a wonderful holiday!

I am so thankful for the opportunity to work with such wonderful and amazing children! I am also thankful for the support of their wonderful families! I wish all of you a happy Thanksgiving holiday!

Love, Ms. Malcom

Baby Blair Visits our Class!

Last Thursday was our Thanksgiving feast at South Salem Elementary. Ms. Malcom's sister (Ms. Kelli) and Ms. Malcom's neice (Blair) came to visit!
Below, Mrs. Higdon spends some time with baby Blair!
Baby Blair even participated in Music time before lunch!

After lunch, Blair participated in Art time! She even got to make her own art project, handprint turkeys!

Everyone loved watching Blair make her turkey!

Ms. Kelli and Blair!

Blair was so exhausted from making her art project! She feel asleep on Ms. Malcom's desk!

Aaron came over to check out baby Blair while she was sleeping. He was so sweet with her!

Mrs. Stowe even held Blair!

La'Shawn loved holding baby Blair! He was so funny! During Calendar time, while we were reviewing our classroom responsibilities, he would yell "Baby" after each rule to ensure that Blair also knew to follow the rules! So cute!

Blair loved her visit to school! We enjoyed having her too!

Bird Feeders!

On Wednesday of last week we made bird feeders using pine cones, peanut butter, and bird seed! Below are a few pictures of us making the bird feeders!

Tanayry really enjoyed this activity. However, I think she really had her eye on the peanut butter! Ha! Ha!

La'Shawn scoops a spoonfull of peanut butter!

Eliana works to spread the peanut butter all over her pine cone!

Enoch made a great bird feeder. He spread the peanut butter evenly on his pine cone! He worked very hard and took his time to ensure that it was just perfect!

Mrs. Holland worked with Aaron to spread the peanut butter!

Tyler loved this activity too! He had a great time with Ms. Malcom making his bird feeder!

Uh-Oh! Caught! I told you that Tanayry had her eye on that peanut butter! LOL!

The next day, we went outside to hang our bird feeders for the birds to enjoy!

Lucy and Mrs. Holland hanging up their bird feeders!

DeAsia after hanging up her bird feeder!

Jonathan loved hanging up his bird feeder and helped the others hang theirs as well!

It felt nice to do something for the birds outside of our school! The pine cone bird feeders were beautiful and we had a blast making them!

Another Day Bowling!

We sure do LOVE Special Olympics Bowling!
Below is a picture of Enoch on the way to bowling. We sure do get a kick out of how he sits on the bus. He always crosses his legs and looks at us like "What?". We just love Enoch!

Santoes wanted to try on Ms. Malcom's sunglasses! He is so funny!

Ms. Malcom with her bowling team! Ha! Ha!

They always play music while we are waiting for the classes from the other schools to arrive! Joyria and Mrs. Higdon take the time out to dance!

Joyria also asked Santoes to dance! He just couldn't refuse!

Ms. Malcom and Aaron!

Joyria and Enoch!

Jonathan and Santoes!

Tanayry is so excited to begin bowling!

Jonathan is a great bowler!

Santoes is too! He gets so excited when he knocks a pin down!

Smile!

Enoch getting ready to bowl!

Ha! Ha! Eliana sat in Aaron's seat while he was bowling. He didn't mind! He just sat right on top of her!

I love this picture of Mrs. Higdon and Enoch! Too cute!

Only one more day of Special Olympics bowling left! We sure will miss it!

Teacher's Helper!

Lucy is such a great Teacher's Helper! On this day, Lucy helped Ms. Malcom grade papers by drawing a "happy face" on those papers that Ms. Malcom put a check on! Way to Go Lucy!

Santoes~ Oh No!

Santoes has truly come "out of his shell" this year. He is talking like crazy and always surprises us with new words, etc.
In this video, Santoes is saying his new phrase "Oh No!". He is usually a little more dramatic with it, moving his arms as if he is distraught (Ha! Ha!). We call him our little drama-king. However, he must be a little camera shy!
Santoes has to be the happiest, funniest kid that I have ever met! We just adore him and look forward to seeing him every day!
