Happy Holidays!

We were soooo looking forward to getting together and opening our presents! Mrs. Stowe got a bracelet. It included pictures of her and Mr. John!

Ms. Malcom got some bird seed for her bird feeders at home!

Mr. John got a book (made by Ms. Malcom) about the bird tree tradition that he shares with us each Christmas!

The kiddos loved opening their presents!

Ms. Jerri got a picture frame with a picture of our class!

After opening our presents, we enjoyed some yummy treats!

Then, Mr. John read us his new book!

It was such a fun day and we really enjoyed our time together! Thanks to all who sent gifts for our students, Mrs. Stowe, and myself. We appreciate you thinking of us! Happy Holidays everyone!

Christmas Carols!

On the last day of school, before the holiday break, we had some very special visitors. Ms. Lane (D'Andre's mother) stopped by to spend some time with us. Mr. John (Mrs. Stowe's husband) and Ms. Jerri (Mrs. Stowe's sister) also stopped by!

Mr. John brought his drum and we sang Christmas carols!

Mrs. Stowe played the keyboard!

Then, we got a chance to play the instruments. That was fun!

Polar Express Pajama Party!

A few days before the winter break, we got together with our friends from Mrs. Roberts' class to watch the Polar Express. We were so happy because we also go to wear our pajamas to school! That was fun!

Ms. Malcom and Mrs. Roberts wore their pajamas too!

Making Christmas Lists!

One Christmas tradition that Ms. Malcom does with her family each year is making Christmas lists. She decided to share this tradition with our class. We got out all of our toy ads, from the newspaper, and got to work making our Christmas lists.

We had a great time making our Christmas lists. Then, we put them in our stockings. I think this is a tradition that we will continue each year in our class.

Special Olympics Basketball!

Before Christmas, we participated in Special Olympics basketball events at Turner Lake. We were the only elementary school class there with a middle school, high school, and adult group. It was lots of fun!

Mr. and Mrs. Mangum (Tony's parents) got the opportunity to come and watch!

We had lots of waiting time before it was our turn. We enjoyed this time together!

CBI Trip to the Fire Station and McDonalds (Part 2)!

This wasn't supposed to actually be a trip to McDonald's. We were actually supposed to have a picnic at Turner Lake. However, it also wasn't supposed to be approximately 30 degrees this day. McDonald's was nice enough to let us bring our sack lunches in and take over their indoor playground area. So.. that's exactly what we did! :-)

After lunch, we had ice cream! Yum!

Overall, it was a fun-filled day!

CBI Trip to the Fire Station and McDonalds!

A few weeks ago, we had a wonderful trip to the Fire Station and McDonalds. We learned so much and are so thankful for those fire men who took time, from their busy schedules, to talk to us and show us around the fire station.

The fire men talked to us about the fire trucks and even let us sit in one!

Then, they showed us the part of the fire station where the live when they are on call. Eliana wasted no time making herself at home! Ha! Ha!

As a matter of fact, none of us did! :-)

We got to see where they eat, relax, and sleep!

Then, they were nice enough to let us hear the fire truck sirens!

Thanks so much to the Covington Fire Station (on Alcovy Road) for having us! We appreciate all that you do for the people in our community!

Our New Friend, Tia!

Tia comes to us from Walton County. She is a great friend and, with her bubbly personality, beautiful smile, and determination, she fits in perfectly!

Our Annual Thanksgiving Lunch!

Mrs. Stowe and I were so excited to be hosting our 6th Annual Thanksgiving Lunch together. So.. when the kiddos went to Adaptive PE, we started decorating.

Eliana made all of the name tags (Thank you Eliana!). They were perfect (Weren't they Mrs. Wancy?). LOL!

We had lots of visitors for our Thanksgiving lunch. Ms. Jerri (Mrs. Stowe's sister), Mr. John (Mrs. Stowe's husband), Mrs. Nancy (Tony's mother), Mrs. Kelli (Ms. Malcom's sister), and Baby Blair (Ms. Malcom's niece) all ate lunch with us.
Tony's mom surprised him with her visit. He was quite surprised and sooo happy to see her!

Before we had lunch, Mr. John read us a story about Thanksgiving and we performed our Turkey song for our guests!

Ms. Malcom was so happy to spend this time with Baby Blair!

Then, it was time to eat!

We had such a wonderful time! Thanks to all who came to share this day with us!

I'm Thankful For...

Before Thanksgiving, we all sat down to discuss what we were thankful for. I was so surprised by the things that I heard. We really have some precious kids. So.. we decided to put our thoughts on paper. Our kids needed very little help deciding what they were most thankful for. Their letters are below.

I am thankful for so much this year. I am thankful for my relationship with God, my health, a job that I love, my god-sister (Nashika) who led me to this profession, my family/ friends, my beautiful niece (Blair), my nephew (Judd) on the way, my dog-children, my home, my wonderful paraprofessional (Mrs. Stowe), and the precious students/ families that I have met in my six years of teaching. I am blessed with so much. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and be sure to count your blessings!

Diet Coke Brownies!

My name is Kimberly Malcom and I am a Pinterest addict! For those of you who don't already know, Pinterest is a website that has all kinds of fun, easy recipes and DIY projects. It has become an obsession of mine.

When I saw the recipe for Diet Coke Brownies, I knew that I had to try it out with my class. We were also studying chemical changes so it fit in perfectly.

All the ingredients you need for Diet Coke Brownies is Diet Coke and Brownie mix (no eggs or oil required). We were all very excited!

First, we had to open our Brownie mix and pour it in our bowl!

Then, we had to open our Diet Coke and pour it in the bowl!

Next, we had lots of mixing to do. Thank goodness we had some great helpers!

Once all mixed, it was time to pour our Brownie batter into the pan!

We sent it to the cafeteria to be baked and this is our final product. They were soooo Yummy!

We learned so much at the Corn Maze.

Mr. Mitcham talked to us about cotton and other crops that are grown in our region.

We even got to touch real cotton!

We fed some chickens!

We saw some sheep!

We really enjoyed feeding the sheep and goats!

Baby Blair loved the pig!

Then, Mrs. Mitcham talked to us about growing strawberries. They also grow those there at the Corn Maze. You can pick them in the Spring. We made bracelets to represent what is needed for strawberries to grow!

Although it was very hot, the hayride was definitely a class favorite.

CBI Trip to the Corn Maze!

When we got to the Corn Maze, we were so excited to get started with all of the fun activities that we had planned. The first stop was the playground.

We started off all together. Soon after, we split up into two groups to see which group could make it out of the corn maze first!

There was a bit of a delay with the bus on the day of our CBI Trip to the Corn Maze. So.... we took advantage of the situation to spend some fun time with our friends.

Before carving our pumpkin, we completed a tally chart to see which face we wanted our jack-o-lantern to have.

Draylan had the very important final vote. After much consideration, he decided on the happy face.

Next, it was time for Ms. Malcom to carve our pumpkin!

We had lots of help cleaning out the pumpkin. Tanayry, Santoes, Eliana, D'Andre, and Draylan were great helpers and didn't mind getting dirty. Our other friends weren't so sure!

During the week of Johnny Appleseed's birthday, we did lots of activities that had to do with apples as well as learned a lot about this yummy fruit.

On Friday, we got to taste lots of apple-flavored foods. We had apple juice, fried apples, apple-flavored rice cakes, applesauce, and apple slices.

It was so much fun getting to taste all of the different foods.

After tasting all of the different foods, we got to go up to the ActivBoard and graph our personal favorites.

Special Olympics Skating Competition!

We were so ready to begin our Special Olympics Skating Competition!

Tony met up with his good friend, Jameer, who was in our class last year. It was great to see him!

Wow! It has been forever since I updated our Class Blog. As much as I love keeping everyone updated with what is going on in our classroom, I have been sooooo busy. Our New Friend, Ms. Mallard!

On this day, we met a new friend. Ms. Mallard, a friend of Ms. Malcom and Mrs. Stowe's from Fairview Elementary, came by to bring fireman hats and fireman toys in preparation of Fire Safety. She was also very sweet and brought us some prizes to put in our prize box!

All of our students loved their hats. They even insisted on wearing them to lunch! :-)

Thank you so much Ms. Mallard for thinking of us. It was great to meet you. Come back anytime!

Delilah!

Over the Labor Day holiday, Ms. Malcom got a new puppy. She named her Delilah. We were all so excited when Delilah stopped by our class to visit!

Everyone wanted to pet Delilah and they were all so gentle with her!

Patriotic Dessert!

On the Friday before September 11th, we celebrated our patriotism by making a patriotic dessert. We took a vote to see whether the decoration on our dessert would be a star or a flag!

The winner was.... a star!

We got our materials together and got to work. We used whipped topping, strawberries, and blueberries!

September 11th

On September 11th, we remembered that day in American history that those of us who experienced it will never forget.

I remember exactly where I was the moment that I found out America had been attacked. I was a freshman at Oxford College and was on my way to my Anthropology class. When I got to class, there was note on the door that said "Class Cancelled. Turn on your TV." I went back to my dorm and watched the TV in horror. I couldn't believe that what I was seeing was real. My first thought, at 18 years old, was "I want my Mama." Do you remember where you were?

Luckily, our students are too young to have witnessed firsthand the tragedy that occurred on 9-11. To them, this day is a day to remember lives lost and a day to learn/ celebrate what it means to be an American!

Every year, our school has a rememberance ceremony. We honor service men/ women, say the "Pledge of Allegience", sing songs such as "The Star Spangled Banner" and "America the Beautiful", and pause for moments of silence at the times when the tragedies occurred. The pictures below are from this year's ceremony.

Our Indoor Camp out!

I cannot tell you how much fun we had at our End-of-the-Summer Indoor Camp out. However, you will see how much fun we had in the pictures below!

All of the students were encouraged to bring their flashlights and favorite stuffed animal!

We never wanted to get out of the tent. Our campfire made it complete!

Ms. Malcom shared a scary story with her friends in the tent. She also taught everyone how to make animals by shining the light on the side of the tent and using her fingers!

Catching Fireflies!

In our tent, in the dark, we read a story called When the Fireflies Come. Mrs. Stowe hid all of the fireflies around the room Friday morning. After reading the story, we got our flashlights and went on a firefly hunt. When we found one, we put them in a jar!

We had a recipe that we followed and they all did so great! Some students liked them. Some didn't. However, we all had fun making them!

We had a lot to do for our indoor camp out. So... on Thursday, after reading a story about camping, we got to work making our indoor campfire and fireflies. Everyone worked together and got the job done!

Sentences!

We have been working so hard to learn our high-frequency words and vocabulary words. Last week, we created sentences using our words. Then, we got together with a partner and practiced reading our sentences! All of our students did so good!

For Fun Fantastic Friday, we focused on friendship. In current events, we read an article about the friendship between a whale and a few photographers who saved him from fishing nets. We then watched a video of the whale saying "Thank you". In Health, we learned about develping personal goals such as making and keeping friends. Mrs. Stowe then arranged for us to make beautiful friendship bracelets. Thanks Mrs. Stowe!

Off to a Great Start!

I cannot brag on these kiddos enough! I am just so proud of them. Every morning, since the 2nd day of school, every student has been given some sort of writing task. I cannot believe the progress, ALREADY, that has been made on their writing skills.

On this morning, I gave this group (Eliana, Jeremy, Draylan, and Tony) the task of completing their vocabulary journals WITHOUT MY HELP! In other words, they had to reference the vocabulary wall, find the correct picture/ word to match the picture in their vocabulary book, determine how to spell the word, and write it in the appropriate place in their vocabulary book. That's a tough task. However, they were ready to go!

I gave them the yard stick so that, once they found the appropriate word on the vocabulary wall, they could point it out for their friends! They all helped each other and did a great job working together.

This group (Tanayry, D'Andre, Enoch, and Santoes) worked with Ms. Malcom and Mrs. Stowe on labeling the pictures in their vocabulary journals. They worked so hard and did a great job!

D'Andre now gets straight to work when he sits at his desk. We are so proud of him!

Enoch has been working hard too!

Charmed and 3 Very Special Visitors!

Last week, we had three very special visitors. Mrs. Stowe's sisters, Lee and Jerri, came by to visit us. Ms. Jerri lives in Madison, GA and Ms. Lee lives all the way in Connecticut. We were so happy to have them. They were so sweet and brought us lots of new prizes for our prize box!

Tanayry wasted no time welcoming our visitors. Ha! Ha!

Ms. Jerri volunteers to assist and take care of rescue dogs. She brought a very special rescue dog, named Charm, with her.

We all got to pet charm while Ms. Jerri talked to us about Charm's life as well as dog care.

I would say that Ms. Lee traveled all the way from Connecticut to see Santoes. Ha! Ha! She and Santoes are special friends! :-)

Friendship is very important in our class. We begin developing friendships on the very first day. I strongly believe that when a students has great friends in our class, they feel much more comfortable. If they feel comfortable in class, they are in a much better position to learn!

We have been working so hard in our vocabulary books and learning new vocabulary words. Tony (the smart boy that he is) learned to copy his vocabulary words, from the vocabulary chart, in to his vocabulary journal. Way to go Tony!

We have also been working very hard on our handwriting. Jeremy and Eliana do a great job on their journals every morning!

This is D'Andre's favorite puzzle! He can put it together faster than Ms. Malcom! Good job D'Andre!

Enoch and Santoes work with Mrs. Stowe every morning on handwriting. They have been doing so good!

High Fliers!

In our classroom we have a "High Flier" chart. Each time the students are "caught doing something good" they are given a picture of a flying object to post on their chart. We have had lots of flying objects placed on our charts since the first day of school. We are so proud of all of our students!

A New School Year!

The new school year is always a very exciting time for Mrs. Stowe and I. Although we greatly miss our "babies" from last year, we are always excited to meet new friends. The beginning of this school year has been great already. Our students learned the expectations and rules very early. They also came in ready to SHINE! Shine is what they have done with their hard work and determination to learn. We are so proud of them and can't wait to see what this year has in store for each and every one of them.

Tomorrow is going to be a day of emotional ups and downs for me! I will experience happiness (for my kids that are graduating), sadness (for my kids that are moving to different schools and our last day with Mrs. Higdon), excitement (about the beginning of Summer break), and relief (that I ended the school year with all of my paperwork complete). Most of all, however, I will have a feeling of PRIDE! I am so proud of every single one of my students! This year, we have watched them grow academically and socially. We have watched them make friends and form loving relationships with each other. We have watched them achieve things that even they thought they could never do.

I must say that this has been my BEST year of teaching yet. I appreciate everyone that has made this year wonderful and successful. I appreciate the support and hard work of all of our students' parents. You all are AMAZING!

So... say a little prayer for me tomorrow! I'm sure I will cry (tears of joy and sadness). However, I will walk out of the front door tomorrow afternoon with a sense of pride that will remain with me forever! I can honestly say that I HAVE THE BEST JOB IN THE WORLD!

For the past three years, I have said that Mrs. Higdon is one of the sweetest, most thoughtful people I know. Once again, she proved that to be true. On Monday, Mrs. Higdon planned a surprise "Summer" birthday party for those of us (Ms. Malcom, Mrs. Stowe, DeAsia, Lucy, and Tony) who have birthdays during the Summer. While we were in the computer lab, she decorated the room. She even baked us a precious cake that was sooooo yummy!

Last Friday, we participated in our school field day. We were so excited. Below is our class picture (including baby Blair) on our way to field day!

Our students were so good at the field day events. Even more impressive, they tried every event, even if they thought they couldn't do it!

Special Olympics Awards Ceremony!

We were so happy to get to our Special Olympics Awards Ceremony and celebrate all that we have accomplished this year.

As they do every year, there was a door prize. Who's ticket number was called first? SANTOES!! Look at the cute pig he picked as his prize. :-)

Each student got a trophy for their participation, hard work, and determination in Special Olympics!

We had lots of special visitors. Lucy's cousin and aunt came. Tony's mom, dad, and brother came. La'Shawn's mother came. We appreciate their support!

Dazzle!

On this day, we had two very special visitors. Mrs. Stowe's sister, Gerri, brought a very special dog named Dazzle to visit with us. Dazzle's story was very interesting. Dazzle is a puppy that was up for adoption. Ms. Gerri volunteers for an animal adoption agency and was on her way to drop Dazzle off at his new home!

Ms. Gerri talked to us about Dazzle and about the agency that she volunteers for. She helps lots of cats and dogs find forever homes!

Then, we got to visit with Dazzle. He was so precious!

Of course we had to have a class picture with our special visitors!

DeAsia wanted to sing "In the Summertime.." for Ms. Gerri! So, that's what we did!

Thanks so much Ms. Gerri (and Dazzle) for visiting with us! We wish Dazzle the best of luck in his new home!

On Tuesday, we were so excited about our Track & Field events at Sharp Stadium!

We were also excited to have a very special visitor come to help us at the events. Brandon, the son of Mrs. Thomas (one of our favorite substitutes), is a student at Alcovy High School. He was so sweet to take a day off to visit with us. All of our students loved Brandon. I think he enjoyed his day too!

Special Olympics Opening Ceremony!

After our Special Olympics parade, we all gathered at Sharp Stadium for our Opening Ceremony!

It makes Ms. Malcom's and Mrs. Stowe's hearts happy every year to see the students that we have previously had in our classes!

We were so happy to see Tyrisha! She was happy to see us too and gave Ms. Malcom a huge kiss on the cheek!

Ms. Malcom and Mrs. Stowe had the triplets (Avia, Kyla, and Tamya) in their class during Ms. Malcom's first year teaching. They are now in HIGH SCHOOL! :-/ These girls are so much fun!

We were so excited to participate in our annual Special Olympics parade today! We grabbed our beautiful stars and banner that we made, and headed to Sharp field to load our truck!

On Good Friday, which was also Fun Fantastic Friday, we had a very special visitor. Ms. Hannah, who is a college student in Valdosta as well as Mrs. Dubois' (our Principal's) daughter, came to spend the day with us. Ms. Hannah is thinking about becoming a special education teacher "when she grows up". :-)

Since we were going to have a surprise Easter egg hunt later in the day (we didn't tell the kids about it until that day), we made Easter buckets for Fun Fantastic Friday!

We have another writer on our hands! Writing the date in the morning has become the thing that EVERYONE wants to do. On this day, Jameer decided to try writing the date! I must say, he did an AMAZING job! And... this is with VERY little help! I have to add that Jameer came into our classroom in October not knowing how to write a single letter. Now, his handwriting is so beautiful!

Way to go Jameer! We are soooooo proud of you! Keep up the great work!

Enoch's Breakthrough!

We are sooooooo proud of Enoch today!

Every morning we call role (attendance). You know, like we used to do when we were in school. I call everyone's name, one at a time, and they raise their hand and say "here". We were so proud at the beginning of the year when Enoch began signing "here" all by himself (after us showing him how). Later, we began to expect more of him. Instead of simply signing his name, we would point to our mouths indicating that he needed to open his mouth and attempt to verbalize "here". Well, after a while of doing that, he begin opening his mouth and making a noise, that we accepted as "here", all by himself. Today, he shocked us all. I went through the room, calling each student's name. They all said "here". When I got to Enoch I said "Enoch Edwards". Enoch, clear as day, said "HERE"!!! Mrs. Stowe and I both heard it and both had tears in our eyes! We were so proud!

Way to go Enoch! Keep up the good work! We knew you could do it!! :-)

We've got a few ball players in our class. Lucy, Santoes, and La'Shawn are all playing on the Miracle League! Mrs. Stowe and Mrs. John (Mrs. Stowe's husband) made it to one of their games during Spring Break. Lucy and La'Shawn (on the Yankees) and Santoes (on the Marlins) played each other. Ms. Malcom was unable to attend. However, Mrs. Stowe kept Ms. Malcom posted with play-by-play pictures!

We Made the Best of it!

Even though Special Olympics soccer was cancelled, we decided to make the best of it. We still wore our orange shirts all day, because we LOVE our orange shirts so much. We also kept our sack lunches and had a picnic in our room! Fun! Fun!

Special Olympics Soccer was Rained Out!

Last Tuesday, we were supposed to have our first ever Special Olympics soccer skills. We were soooo excited! We came in, changed into our shirts, and got right to work so that we would be ready for the bus when it arrived.

Then it happened... Ms. Malcom got an e-mail stating that soccer had been cancelled due to Monday night's bad weather.

We were soooo upset. To let our sadness be known, we put on our saddest faces and took pictures. Then, we sent them to Mrs. Dew (the Special Olympics Coordinator). LOL!!

I must say, we have some great actors in our class! :-)

Just a Cute Story!

I have so much to share on our blog. However, I haven't had a second to sit down and update it. I will hopefully get to that this weekend!

Even so, I wanted to share a very cute story from today. Jameer has been sick the past two days. Oh my goodness, his best friend Tony has missed him sooo much.

Well, today everyone went to the playground for recess. Jameer and Tony began running up the playground equipment and Tony fell. He hit is shin, which I know was painful. He said "Ouch" and walked towards Jameer holding his injured leg. He looked at Jameer and said in his most pitiful voice "Jameer. Kiss it". Jameer, the wonderful friend that he is, lifted up Tony's leg and kissed it. Then, they both went about their business, playing as if nothing happened.

It was the sweetest thing! What a great feeling to be young and to have such a wonderful friend!

Learning About Teeth!

The Thursday before Spring Break we began our new unit, Dental Health. To introduce our unit, we read a few pages in our health books and watched a short video about the importance of dental health. We also made our own "people", using marshmellows for their teeth. Our "people" turned out so cute and the students were so proud of them. They were required to cut their "eyes" and "noses" from a magazine. They were then allowed to choose their own hairstyles!

Caribbean Dream!

Last week, we read a story called Caribbean Dream. It was a cute story about a few children that live in the Caribbean. We learned how their lives are similar and different to our own. We also learned a new vocabulary word. We learned that an island is a body of land that is completely surrounded by water. We even made our own islands (see the pictures below)!

Fun Fantastic Friday- Preparing for our Garden!

On Friday, we had huge plans of creating a garden and finally planting our peanut plants (that we planted a few weeks ago and have watched grow). So, we had to do some preparation for our garden! For morning work on Monday morning, Eliana, Lucy, and Tony made signs for us to put around our garden! They did a fabulous job!

Fun Fantastic Friday- Making Bubbles!

For Fun Fantastic Friday on Friday, we did a science experiment. We made bubbles! Since Jameer was the "Class STARfish", we was the teacher's helper!

First, we had to make sure that we had all the materials we needed!

We documented the materials that we needed!

Next, we followed a recipe to make bubbles!

According to the recipe, we needed 10 cups of water!

We needed 1 cup of dish washing soap!

We stirred it all together in a bowl!

For our experiment, we were to try several different utensils, dip them in the bubble solution that we made, and see if they would make bubbles. The first utensil that we used was a spatula. It made bubbles!

Then, we tried a fly swatter. It made bubbles!

We tried a colander. It made bubbles! We also tried a whisk and comb. They did not make bubbles!

Each student was required to use their worksheet to make a hypothesis about whether each utensil would make bubbles or not. They all did so wonderful making their predictions and recording it on their worksheets. We were so proud of them! They were then required to raise their hands to communicate their choice.

Every single morning, we take a look at the calendar and write the date. First, we find the day by counting up to it and using a number card to post it. Then, we go up and determine the day of the week. We determine the month and year. Then, we write the entire date, using the sentence "Today is .....", on the board. Lastly, we write the short-cut version of the date (3-18-2011). On Friday, we were so impressed. Tony asked to write the date. Just thinking that he would assist, we said "Sure"! Tony amazed all of us when he went ahead, following all of our steps, and wrote the ENTIRE date! Then, he wrote the short-cut date ALL BY HIMSELF! No assistance was given in determining the date, day of the week, month, or year. No assistance was given in writing the sentence. No assistance was given in spelling everything right!

I wish I would have gotten a picture of the final product, but I think I was too excited!

On St. Patrick's Day, Lucky the Leprechaun visited once again. When we came into the room that morning, our room looked crazy!

Lucky even put all of our faces on "sad face"! Oh no!

Lucky left notes for each student in a big pot!

He must have mistaken our peanut plants for clovers! Lucky left a note to Ms. Malcom, Mrs. Higdon, and Mrs. Stowe too!

When the students arrived, they were shocked!

The look on Tony's face says it all!

Ms. Malcom told everyone that following the leprechaun tracks, on the floor, may lead to a special treat!

So, that's what we did!

Wow! At the end of the leprechaun tracks was a pot of prizes!

Lucy noticed that each letter, in the pot, had a student's name on it. She wasted no time passing them out to everyone!

Lucky had a very special message for each student! Mrs. Higdon helped Enoch read his message! By the way, notice how nice Enoch looks in his new shirt! :-)

Fun Fantastic Friday- Arm Wrestling!

After making peanut butter & jelly sandwiches (to gain energy), we had our 1st Annual Arm Wrestling Tournament!

We were all so excited and even had a few visitors join us! Mrs. Burnfin, another teacher at our school, stopped by to join in on the competition. Lucy showed no mercy and beat her in the first match!

Lucy then beat Eliana!

Lucy blew Tony out of the water!

Jameer was too excited to put up a fight and giggled the entire time! Needless to say, Lucy beat him too!

When it was their turn, Mrs. Stowe had each person write their name on the tournament chart!

I didn't get a picture, but Mrs. Stowe finally beat Lucy. It was then Mrs. Stowe versus DeAsia! Mrs. Stowe won!

Next, it was time for Mrs. Higdon and Mrs. Crystal (our Occupational Therapist). After a hard fight, Mrs. Crystal beat Mrs. Higdon!

Ms. Malcom was the final contestant! She beat Mrs. Crystal and was the winner of the 1st Annual Arm Wrestling Competition! This teacher has mercy on NO ONE! LOL!
